Guys Are Getting “Menjections” To Have Macho Mouths Like Celebs

Some men are being injected with filler to look like Hollywood celebrities

SHORT VERSION

Men are flocking to their dermatologists to undergo a procedure designed to help them look like Brad Pitt, Harry Styles, and Channing Tatum.

LONG VERSION

When we hear the term “cosmetic procedure” it usually conjures up mental imagery of women getting facelifts or having their breast size increased/reduced through implants.

But the hard truth is guys undergo cosmetic procedures, too. I should know because I wrote about my own experiences with Botox cosmetic in this post.

Here’s the deal. In recent years, men have increasingly shown interest in having facial work done to enhance their appearance. A recent study appearing in Bloomberg revealed that 31% of guys are highly likely to consider some type of procedure.

Moreover, nearly half of the study’s participants (58%) were millennials.

The “work” being contemplated isn’t just calf implants, liposuction or hair weaves. Instead, they are seeking specific procedures designed to beutify the face.

To cut to the chase, I’m talking about “menjections”. In simple-speak, this is where a doctor injects the lower lip with a dermal filler made from hyaluronic acid, like Restylane, to increase lip size.

Apparently, the goal is to look more like famous celebrities, including Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Harry Styles. It turns out that having a well-formed, larger lower lip is what makes each of these stars desirable.

Obviously, attractiveness is subjective – I’m just giving you the skinny on why some guys are doing this.

Dr. Rian Maercks said the following in a Page Six video: “The lower lip in men has just become a symbol of pride and power.”

You can hear more from Dr. Maercks and watch the procedure in this online video that may help put things into perspective.

So, what do you think? Will be signing up for manjections to get a “macho mouth”? It’s apparently all the rage.
