Virgo Man in Love

Are you dating ? Trying to figure out how Virgo men operate in love and relationships? Hoping to gain new insight into this earth sign?

If the answer is yes, join the club. Many people are drawn to Virgo Man because they are mysterious and likeable.

Does this describe you?

My hope in writing this piece is to help you better understand the Virgo man’s mind. A lot of what you’ll read on the Internet is horribly confusing. And to be real about it, much of it is wrong.

I should know because I’m a Virgo man.

Since the time I was first able to read, I’ve been drawn to the world of ancient mysticism, including astrology. Like a lot of Virgo guys, I have a “chip” inside of me that makes me want to analyze everything – including people.

As time as gone on, I’ve learned not to question why.

Now before we dive too deep, it’s important I share that I’m not a psychic or astrologer.

Instead, I’m a third-generation shaman from California and a member of the Choctaw Indian Tribe. As part of my studies in the healing arts, I’ve spent a great deal of time focusing on the concept of psycho-spirituality; a term I will provide more insight on below.

In the meantime, below is an in depth video on YouTube on the male Virgo personality.

At its core, psycho-spiritualism is a twenty-five-cent word used to describe the blending of psychology with mysticism. Carl Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist, often included aspects of astrology in his teachings to help people just like you better understand themselves.

An example of this can be found in dream analysis, where Dr. Jung used spiritual symbolism to help assess meaning (Jung, 1939). I’m sharing this information only as a way of deepening your insight.

Now that all everything is on the table, it’s time discover the 25 truths about Virgo men in love and relationships. What you are about to read is the real deal, including the good, the bad and the ugly.

1. He’s focused and observant

Out of the 12 zodiac signs, Virgo is one of the most observant. There are a variety of reasons for this that directly relate to this sign’s ruling planet, Mercury.

Because Mercury is the closest to our sun, it has the benefit of being able to “see” all the other planetoids in our solar system. With each revolution around our star, it observes all that happens as far out as Pluto.

You will always know you are in the presence of a Virgo man because intuitively, you’ll sense he is quietly studying you. Anyone who has ever been with a Virgo will verify what I’ve just stated.

2. We can tune into you

The key thing to know about Virgo men is this: they are highly analytical. With a sharp eye for detail and a sensitivity to other people’s personalities, we have a way of tuning into you on multiple levels.

No, we aren’t psychic however, some do believe we are gifted with empathic abilities. It’s not magic or anything. Instead, it’s the byproduct of our observational skills.

We notice everything you do, including your body language, facial gestures and even the tone of your voice. This empowers us to tune into what’s going on with you – sometimes intuiting your thoughts in an uncanny way.

3. We are terribly organized

A lot of Virgo men are highly organized. While this might seem like a positive trait it can also be a negative. That’s because many of us struggle with obsessive-compulsive disorder, otherwise known as OCD.

Armed with our to-do lists, we’re highly disciplined and have a set of short and long-term goals that we’re constantly working on. Sometimes, we become fixated on them; something that can cause friction in relationships.

The good news is that much of our desire to remain organized relates to providing help and comfort to others. When you are in a relationship with a Virgo man, expect him to be somewhat anal retentive.

4. We can be highly critical

It pains me to write this because it is an ugly truth for most all Virgo men. We tend to be hard on everyone, including ourselves. In other words, we can be critical.

Some people describe us as being demanding. Others call us nags. And still, others suggest we become martyrs who are compelled to put up with the deficiencies in others.

I’m not saying all Virgo men are negative because that’s simply not true. But what I am suggesting is that we have a chip for being critical, which at times can be a real turnoff.

You wanted the truth, right?

5. We’re social creatures

One of the things that Virgos love to do is be with people. We are most relaxed when we’re around others, often in social gatherings like parties or informal groups.

A big reason for this is because we like to listen while simultaneously analyzing you. We’re particularly attracted to conversations that explore new ideas but also tawdry gossip about others.

Many of us have a large circle of friends with few problems bonding with others. Because Mercury is the “messenger” planet, we enjoy comparing notes and talking about current events.

6. We’re attracted to your mind

While some signs are drawn to the physical presence of another, this is not the case for Virgo men. Sure, we notice what you are wearing and how you look. But the real attraction doesn’t kick in until we mentally bond with you.

This means we are attracted to people who are stimulating and intelligent. Do you know about pop culture? Do you challenge conventional thinking? If so, there’s a good chance the Virgo guy you like is going to be attracted to you.

What you need to know is that Virgos like looking at issues from different perspectives. Yes, we may be critical but that doesn’t mean we aren’t open-minded. In fact, being open to new thinking is a hallmark of our sign.

7. We’re more sexual than you think

One of the biggest misnomers about Virgo men is that we’re not adventurous is the bedroom. I’ve had more than one person say that we’re also romantically uninspiring.

Here’s the deal – we are sexual but there needs to be a mental and emotional connection for our pistons to fire. Once that bond has been established, we tend to be passionate and somewhat submissive.

That said, we like knowing what we are getting into before doing the deed. Yes, we are adventurous but we’re also traditional. We tend to be vanilla in what we do and get turned on by knowing you feel satisfied.

In this way, we are somewhat like Aquarius men.

8. We worry a lot

If you are attached to a Virgo, it won’t take long for you to figure out that we are worrywarts. In fact, it’s something we tend to do a lot.

This anxiety can be random in nature but tends to focus on all things missed. Examples include: “Did I lock the door before leaving the house” and “Am I at risk for heart disease”.

For reasons that are beyond my level of awareness, the trait of worry is near universal for all Virgos (men and women). Unlike the water sign Cancer that focuses on family worry, Virgos tend to experience anxiety about everything.

9. You’ll notice he’s calm

A key trait of males who identify as Virgo is a calm presence. Some even describe us as detached. But which is true?

The answer is a little of both. Because we are one of the three earth signs (Taurus and Capricorn are the others) we tend to be centered and focused.

It is for this reason people say that Virgos have a calming effect on others who are in emotional turmoil. Think of a strong oak tree standing erect during a hail storm. That’s the perfect metaphor for our sign.

10. He’s going to be highly independent

A lot of people think Virgos are control freaks but that’s just not true. Can I be real with you? That label is best suited for Scorpio men.

Instead, what we really are is independent.

Generally speaking, we like to march to the beat of our own drummer. This means we don’t like being told how to think or behave. Part of this is a function of our analytical abilities.

When you are with a Virgo man, understand there will be periods where he likes being alone with his thoughts.

Bear in mind he isn’t detaching from you but instead, organizing his mind. Allow him to have this space and you’ll find that he’s much more present during periods of intimacy.

11. Big on trust

By nature, we are distrustful and skeptical creatures. Part of this trait can be attributed to our independent nature. It’s also because we “see” everything and can tell when others are being dishonest.

That said, when you gain our trust, rest assured that we will reflect honesty back to you in spades. As the relationship continues, the trust deepens.

One way to increase the bond you share with a Virgo man is by being completely transparent about your thoughts and feelings. If you hold back, we’ll know.

12. We’re very loyal

Hand in hand with trust is loyalty. When you are with a Virgo man and he commits to you, count on him being very devoted. This means emotionally and physically.

This is not to say we don’t have a wandering eye. We do. And yes, we sometimes become overly flirtatious. But that doesn’t mean we cross boundaries and cheat. That’s just not who we are.

But here is the thing. We expect the people we are with to also be loyal and place a high premium on this trait.

13. He’ll have high standards

A lot of people think Virgos are overly picky. That’s a bunch of BS. In truth, we are very discerning and have high standards. Part of this stems from being perfectionists.

This doesn’t mean we require the finest clothing or that we’re all about expensive cars. Instead, we put a premium on quality. See the difference?

When we are together in a romantic relationship, expect to be with a guy who invests in things that are well made and built to last. We also like eating foods that are made from healthy sources and prefer to stick to the basics.

14. He’s going to be practical

One of the wonderful things about being with men who are Virgo is knowing they are practical. As an earth sign, we like planning ahead while keeping things uncomplicated.

To draw a mental picture, if given a choice between buying you an expensive watch that you might wear once versus a fuel-efficient car you’ll drive regularly, we’re going to get you the car.

Part of being practical (at least for us) is knowing that the decisions we make are well-thought out and smart. This can be a pro or a con, depending on how you look at it. But at least you have the real deal now.

15. He’s a saver

Remember what I shared earlier about Virgos being worriers? Well, one of the biggest sources of anxiety for us is money. It is for this reason we like to hoard it.

No, we aren’t cheap. We’ll spend money on an expensive meal in a minute if we think it’s of high quality. But because we hold fears about the future, we tend to sock away dollars for a rainy day.

You can expect us to have hard cash around, usually in the form of a money market account or a certificate of deposit. It helps us to sleep better at night, knowing we have this financial safety net.

16. We’re kind of nerdy

Because we are detailed focused, we tend to live in the minutia. As a result, we end up being kind of nerdy. For reasons that I don’t fully understand, we become obsessed with how things work.

If you need someone to research your DNA, a Virgo is an excellent choice. Attracted to guys who are into science and nature? Look no further than men who are born under Mercury’s power.

Just because we are geeky doesn’t mean we show it. We’re masters at hiding our interests and obsessions from others.

17. Problems with sleep

Have you slept next to a Virgo man? Did you notice that he does a lot of tossing and turning? Does he seem to struggle with insomnia?

If you are answering yes, you’ve picked up on a lifelong struggle for men who fall under this sign. It sucks because this lack of sleep can affect our mood.

The reason we have problems sleeping is because of worry. We can’t help it – that’s what we do. If you want to help your guy get his Z’s, consider giving him a rubdown before slipping into the sheets. This will help to relax his body and mind so that he can glide into the land of Nod.

18. Loves giving oral

Women who are paired with a Virgo man will quickly pick up on how the guys enjoy giving oral to their mates. Without going into detail here, I can tell you the men get extremely turned on by using their tongues on certain body parts.

The reason for this is simple – the guys use their analytical skills to gauge your reactions and make adjustments accordingly. Did you know that Virgo men become aroused when in the presence of their birthstone, green jade? Yep, it’s totally true.

In case you are wondering, men who fall under this sign have two erogenous zones: the stomach and chest. Use these to your advantage.

19. We focus on work a lot

Depending on how you look at things, this trait can be good or bad. All I know is that many of us are hard workers and focus on our jobs a lot.

Addicted to detail, we tend to become consumed with making sure we are on top of everything at work. The more we can bring our analytical skills to bear, the better.

Typical jobs we gravitate towards include psychology, statistician, banking, teaching, data analysis and research. Believe it or not, we’re also great at acting because it requires us to obsessively study our roles.

20. We have memories like elephants

Part of our psychological makeup is being able to store and then recall events. In practical terms, this means remembering anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions.

But we also have a tendency to recall things that you say with uncanny accuracy. For example, if you told a Virgo man ten years ago that you are part Irish and Italian, there’s a good chance he’s going to remember that.

Therefore, it’s never a good idea to lie to a Virgo. Once you start having to change stories, he’s going to bust you very quickly.

21. We’re hypochondriacs

This isn’t a positive trait, but it needs to be shared if I am going to be real about things. While not true for all, most of us are hypochondriacs.

Sadly, we often diagnose ourselves with illnesses (sometimes exotic) and tend to over-worry about our health.

If you are paired with a Virgo man, you’ll need to accept this is just part of who he is. Your best bet is to simply deal with it and occasionally reel him in when he goes overboard.

22. We struggle with guilt

Why we have this trait is somewhat baffling. It’s a paradox because our logical minds tell us that we’ve done nothing wrong but our anxiety about past actions often gets the best of us.

Some men spend their entire lifetimes wishing things could have been different with family relationships or friends. Others blame themselves for things they are not responsible for.

The good news is that the guilt we feel makes us more contentious about how we treat others.

23. Very compassionate

This is a universal trait of all Virgos and not just the guys. We are empowered with a “chip” that makes us care about others.

If you are going through a personal problem or experiencing some type of crisis, a Virgo guy is going to be someone you can count on to listen.

While not exactly the same, we share this ability to care in ways that are similar to Pisces men.

24. We’re all about others

People often forget that Virgo is the sign of service. Think of Mother Theresa. This means that we gain pleasure from helping others, particularly folks in need.

One of the challenges with this trait is over-caring and overhelping. This can leave us emotionally depleted and exhausted.

If you are with a Virgo man, gently remind him from time to time to focus on self-care. This will be important to his emotional wellbeing and yours.

25. He likes to travel

If you enjoy taking trips to far off lands or exotic places, your male Virgo companion will always be down.

As an earth sign, the men tend to gravitate towards the outdoors. Here, we’re talking about destinations where land and sea are part of the dynamic. Camping and hiking are also favorites of this sign.

Just remember, planning is key. Spontaneous trips are okay but the guys much prefer putting together an itinerary. It helps them feel less anxious and more in control.
