Taurus and Scorpio revealed
What I have learned over many years is that not all signs are a good match for Taurus; a Zodiac that is known for having strong convictions and a steel core.
Conversely, I have also learned that Scorpio can struggle with compatibility, primarily because of its complicated personality and penchant for jealousy.
Taurus is pegged with being focused and driven. Scorpio is thought of as being highly empathic and sexual.
But are either of these stereotypes true? You are about to find out.
As you read the seven-match areas, bear in mind that everything you see is gender neutral, focusing only on the pairing between Taurus and Scorpio.

Taurus: April 20 – May 20
In the traditions of horoscopic astrology, Taurus resides in the “Second House”. When you hear the term house, think of it as a metaphorical structure that holds a given sign’s karmic traits.
If you were to open the door to this home, you would immediately sense balance. As you take it all in, energies would pass through you that infuse strong self-esteem and self-worth.
In the distance, a green aura vibrates. Intuitively, you would recognize this as a sign of money and wealth.
The bull is exclusively ruled by Venus, located 162 miles from where you are right now. It is within this celestial body that Taurus’s powers are derived (see more under Taurus man).
According to the ancients, Venus’s nickel-iron once pulsated wildly, flinging the symbolic bull far into the solar system.
As it gained momentum on the journey towards earth, it was zapped by a lightning bolt from the Orion Nebula, gifting the furry creature with traits of determination and balance.

People born under the Scorpio sign fall under the “Eight House” in astrology. If you were to open the door to this metaphoric structure and walk inside, you would immediately detect the presence of mystery, logic, intimacy, and bonding.
Scorpio is ruled by two planets that could not be more opposite. One is Mars, located 140 million miles from where you are right now. It is considered a “hot” planet and symbolizes passion and action.
The other is Pluto, located 737 million miles from earth. It is considered a “cold” planet and according to legend, represents mystery, death, secrecy, and rejuvenation.
Billions of years ago, during the formation of our planet, the ancients tell us that the polarities of Mars and Pluto once touched, creating a quantum field.
Surfing atop this energy wave was the Scorpion. Just before arriving at earth, it was jolted by a zap of energy from the center of the Milky Way. Charged positively and negatively, the arachnid was given special empathic gifts.

Fixed Signs
No conversation about Taurus and Scorpio would be complete unless we quickly touched on how both are considered fixed signs.
You may be wondering what does the term “fixed” mean in astrology? Simply put, these are the signs that in our universe that are thought to be steady in nature. They belong exclusively to the Second, Fifth, Eighth and Eleventh Houses.
When you hear the term fixed, think stable, resolved, determined and resolute.
There are only four signs that are considered fixed; Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, and Taurus respectively.
Why do Taurus and Scorpio match?
Now that you have some basic background information, it’s time to look at the specific reasons Scorpio and Taurus match.
Below are the 7 compatibility areas with supporting rationale.
1. Sexual Energy
To be blunt, Taurus and Scorpio make for a powerful force behind closed doors. In fact, many have described the experience as intense.
Bulls, by definition, are sexual beasts and crave the carnal. Governed by pleasure, physical intimacy comes natural to the sign, provided it vibes with the right zodiac.
Scorpio, using its highly intuitive skills, can tap into Taurus’s libido, drawing out its passions. Because the two signs oppose one another, the joining of the two in the bedroom can be explosive.
The one challenge both signs face is a desire to dominate. Scorpio is independent and needs to be in control. Taurus can be stubborn and doesn’t cede power easily.
When the pairing finds a happy medium, intimacy often lasts for hours. Much time is spent on the buildup, including foreplay.
2. Love
The emotional bond of love between Scorpio and Taurus is deep and enduring, built on a foundation of trust. When you consider the attributes of both signs, this makes perfect sense.
The bull is careful when it comes to matters of the heart. But once it feels safe, bonding happens quickly. That said, the process doesn’t happen overnight.
It takes a patient, nurturing, and attentive sign like Scorpio to catch the Taurus heart. Once both are in sync, their love vibration beats in unison.
Scorpio is drawn to challenges. Given the bull’s determined energy, the arachnid is drawn to Taurus like a moth to a flame. The one thing Scorpio must be mindful of is not allowing its passions to turn into an obsession; something all who fall under this sign are vulnerable to.
Once the initial emotional fireworks quiet, the love between two grows in calm and steady ways. Because both are fixed in nature, there is a gentle, unspoken connection between the two.
Taurus soothes Scorpio’s obsessions. Conversely, Scorpio reigns in Taurus’s need to possess.
“There is a gentle, unspoken connection between the two”
3. Trust
There is a high level of trust between Taurus and Scorpio. Part of this is due to the slow and steady nature in which the relationship grows.
Both signs are highly loyal. Additionally, the bull and arachnid are extremely protective. Finally, each is cautious by nature and carefully think through emotional investments in another before making a commitment.
Once a decision has been made to become exclusive, their physical bonds become sealed. Again, this is a slow process and does not happen instantly.
On this front, it is important to point out that both signs like to flirt. The bull will need to make sure it doesn’t jump to conclusions when this happens. Conversely, Scorpio must reel in its jealous tendencies.
4. Money
Financial compatibility between Taurus and Scorpio is typically not a problem. In fact, this pairing shares many of the same traits regarding spending priorities and savings.
Much of this relates to both signs being fixed. Taurus likes knowing there is money in the bank for a rainy day. Scorpio by nature is a miser and often obsesses about how much cash it has on hand.
Both signs abhor debt and will work hard to make sure credit cards and other bills are paid. Housing is important for each sign with both preferring to own.
FYI: Both signs have an entrepreneurial chip. It is not uncommon for either to own a business.
The only challenge that might exist between this duo on the money front relates to the bull’s penchant for materialism. This is not a knock against Taurus but instead, a truth that part of the sign’s traits.
Ongoing communication about financial goals for the future will be essential for maintaining monetary health. That said, this is a strong match area.
5. Intellect
Taurus is an earth sign that is practical with a focus on the here and now. Scorpio is a water sign and prone to bifurcating between past and future.
On this surface, this may seem like a net negative. In truth, however, it is this paradox that strangely draws the duo together.
Taurus has a way of reeling Scorpio back to the center. Scorpio can stimulate the bull’s imagination.
Taurus tends to look at the big picture. Scorpio on the minutia. What one may be missing, the other compensates for. Many couples who fall under this pairing are described as “nerdy” and “heady”.
In many ways, this makes sense because both signs are highly analytical. In the realm of intellectual capacity, the duo makes for a strong match.
“Both signs are highly analytical”
6. Communications
During the initial phases of the relationship, communications can be a struggle. This is almost entirely because of Scorpio’s desire to remain mysterious. As a result, the sign isn’t one to offer up information until a basis of trust is formed.
Liking challenges, Taurus will gently nudge the arachnid with the goal of getting its defenses down. The need for secrecy on the part of Scorpio begins to fade and communication becomes free-flowing.
Taurus tends to be very direct when speaking and is not one for passive-aggressive games. Scorpio is similar, however, it sometimes can be too direct and make biting remarks.
The real struggle between the duo manifests in the form of stubbornness. As fixed signs, they both tend to see things in black or white with little grey in between.
That’s why it’s critical for the Taurus and Scorpio pairing to keep an open mind. This is easier said than done, however, if both parties work at it, it is very possible.
Once the relationship settles into its groove, communication is typically uncomplicated. Just allow time for an initial period of friction to transpire – and trust that it will pass.
7. Interests
The interest areas shared between Taurus and Scorpio are plentiful. Both enjoy spending time outdoors with Taurus gravitating towards the land and Scorpio, the sea.
Both enjoy travel. Hiking, camping, and nature-based activities are in both zodiac’s wheelhouses. Additionally, both are into exercise and healthy eating because they deeply care about physical appearance.
Most all forms of entertainment are of interest to the bull and scorpion. Taurus generally likes adventure themes. Scorpio, all things mysterious and scary. Both can get into Sci-Fi.
The trick for this duo is not to get into a rut. Because of their fixed nature, they can easily fall into a routine and miss out on what’s new. From time to time, it will be important to change things up and introduce different experiences.
Wrap Up
Hopefully, I’ve demonstrated that Taurus and Scorpio are highly compatible. As you can see, they share many similarities but also differ in important ways.
It is their differences that draw the two close.
The pairing makes for excellent parents. Children will find a stable, loving and supportive home life.
